Archery equipment available for use by interested youth groups and students
The Scioto Soil and Water Conservation District has received archery equipment including youth bows, arrows, targets and an arrow curtain from the Ohio Division of Wildlife. This equipment is available for loan to qualified individuals for use in youth one time or ongoing target archery programs.
Archery is an activity that can be enjoyed by all youth and a well-planned program can be used to teach or strengthen a young person’s focus, patience, discipline, self-control and confidence as well as developing his or hers overall archery skills.
Individuals interested in borrowing this equipment and leading a youth archery program must provide documentation that they are either certified as a hunter education instructor, National Archery in the Schools Program instructor, 4-H shooting sports instructor or certified in any other archery related discipline.
If you are interested in conducting a youth archery program but are not certified as any of the above the District’s Wildlife Specialist is available to schedule and lead a program with your group or students. To get further information on the archery equipment call the District office at 740-259-9231
